Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers was her mother and Arthur Goulding belonged to a family of undertakers. Goulding is the second child and has a brother named Alex an older sister named Isabel as well as a sister known as Jordan. Alex is her older brother and plays the bass for an Hereford group. When she was a child, she was encouraged to pursue a career in music by her mom. Her first instrument was the clarinet as she was nine years old.
